Rose McDermott regularly consults for children’s publishers including, most recently, Magic Cat. She has written children's non-fiction books for the international market and her work has been published in leading Education magazine Teach Primary.

 

Rose is an experienced primary school teacher based in Redbridge, East London. She has taught for over ten years and is currently in a Middle Leader position at a large school whilst studying for the NPQSL. Her role includes developing the arts throughout the school, leading teaching and learning in Years 5 and 6, and developing school-wide curriculum changes, with particular focus on reading and writing.

Prior to working in London, she taught internationally and she enjoys working with children of all backgrounds, abilities and ages.

 

Rose has two young boys of her own and is a keen reader.
